My life in production

It’s not like any other job, each day is different. Another location,  a unique creative vision and most importantly helping one more person tell their story.

Welcome behind the scenes. My job is typically to help others tell their stories — capturing performances, preserving the subtle details of a scene, and making sure every word lands exactly as intended. This page, however, is where I get to share a few stories of my own. A little less formal than the rest of this site, here you’ll find glimpses of life from the sound department’s perspective: the seamless days when everything runs like clockwork, the challenges that demand quick thinking, and the unexpected, often amusing moments that make life on set so unique. And while my drone work occasionally takes me into the air as well, this space is mostly about the world I know best — the sounds, stories, and experiences from just out of frame.

26.2 Miles Between Takes

You have to be at least a little mad to pay $150 to run 26.2 miles on aching legs before someone throws a foil blanket over you. Here's why I've done it twice — and how I fit the training around a demanding career on set.
